The Survey Ontology

Description

"The Survey Ontology propose a novel conceptualization of the survey to enable a structured modelling of both the survey structure and the collected answers. In the development of the ontology, we tried to reduce the possible bias introduced by its application to conversational surveys and to allow for extensibility. We exploited existing vocabularies and,in particular, the work done for the Research Object Suite of Ontologies to inherit a conceptualization for representing procedures and results of research studies while tracking provenance. In the ontology design, we considered the Linked Open Terms (LOT) methodology, and we devised a set of use cases and related competency questions made available in the ontology repository."
